Siren
SIREN is a video installation in which a performer sits motionless in the sea as the tide slowly rises until his body is fully submerged.
SIREN is an ongoing video installation (150 min.) that revolves around the relationship between man and nature. The performer positions himself at low tide and remains completely still as the tide rises, until he is fully submerged. As the horizon remains unchanged and the sound of the water intensifies, the performer’s stillness contrasts with the sea’s relentless movement. What begins as a simple gesture evolves into a quiet confrontation between the human body and the rhythms of the natural world, inviting viewers to reflect on temporality, control, and the inevitability of change.
