PARALLEL REALITIES is a performative installation in which the visitor is welcomed into a home that is not theirs. Where do we feel at home, and what lies at the core of this feeling?
In the heart of a vibrant public space stands a soundproof cabin that gives you access to various realities that we might call ‘home’. Through a series of ‘sound portraits’ — both live and pre-recorded — the visitor is immersed in darkness and sound, gradually becoming a temporary inhabitant of a space where people, animals, or objects live.
This work uses ambisonic audio technology, allowing the visitor to experience sound spatially through six speakers.
