Eye-view of Anonymity
EYE-VIEW OF ANONYMITY is a performative installation that shifts how you experience yourself in space.
In EYE-VIEW OF ANONYMITY Visitors are invited to wear a helmet fitted with a small screen on which the live feed of a bird’s-eye-view of the space is seen. While moving through the space and sensing everything up close, they see themselves from above — as if watched from another body. This split between embodied experience and external vision generates a subtle yet disorienting discrepancy between feeling and seeing. The body remains present and intimate, yet the image becomes distant and anonymous.
At the same time, a performer whispers a monologue into the visitor’s ear. The voice feels close, personal, in contrast to the detached overhead view. Video projections spread across the white floor, creating visual layers that shift and overlap as the participant moves.
Together, these elements create a layered experience in which the participant becomes both observer and observed.
